Any contagious virus spreads through airborne respiratory droplets such as coughs and sneezes, skin to skin contact like a handshake, saliva from a shared drink, or by touching a contaminated surface such as a desk or computer mouse.

The best way to prevent the spread of any virus is through education and prevention, and of course, having the right products on hand to help reduce germs and contaminants in your facility. Here are some tips for you and your employees when it comes to managing the spread of germs:
Wash your hands.
Wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently for a minimum of 20 seconds. This is one of the best ways to prevent getting sick. If soap and water are not available, alcohol-based hand sanitizers are a good option to help reduce the number of germs on your hands.
Avoid touching your nose and mouth.
Additionally, make sure to sneeze into the crook of your elbow. Since germs can spread by skin-to-skin contact, keeping the germs off your hands will help prevent their spread. Maintain a clean work environment.
There is a difference between sanitizing, disinfecting and cleaning:
- Cleaning removes germs and dirt from a surface or object, while disinfecting kills germs on a surface or object. We recommend cleaning and disinfecting surfaces such as doorknobs, keyboards, desktops, or any other objects that employees frequent touch.
- Sanitizing reduces the number of germs on a surface or object. Once a surface is cleaned and disinfected, it’s good practice to wipe down surfaces daily with disinfecting wipes. Germs can live 48 hours or more. Be sure to frequently wipe down high traffic areas and high touch surfaces to help keep germs from spreading.
